Today

Today

Today, we get to try again.

Forgetting the hurt and the pain,

We get to decide what we want.

Today we are a new person,

Without the scars of yesterday.

Some wounds don’t seem to heal as fast as we would like them.

But today is one more day in the healing process.

And today we get to take new steps.

The mistakes are forgotten.

The memories, erased.

This day we get to create,

New plans, new dreams, new destinies.

We get to take action and move ahead, today.

One step at a time.

Because today, we get a new shot at life.
